AMERICAN VETERANS TRAVELING TRIBUTE
WARREN, PA   ~   JUNE 19-22, 2003
I was in Warren, PA for the American Veterans Traveling Tribute (The Wall) and
this was a tribute unlike anything I'd ever seen before. They had "Living Statues"
as a tribute to the statue of the 3 Soldiers and the Women's Memorial in Washington D.C.
I've been to a lot of ceremonies and events, but this was the most moving thing
I'd ever seen. During the weekend, several people presented the "Living Statues"
every few hours. These are just a few of the photos from this ceremony
and also some graphics done by Mr. McCorrison that are so beautiful I just had
to share them with you. If you are a Veteran, I know what these pictures will mean to you...
This is the living statue tribute
to the statue of the
3 Soldiers. I've never seen
anything like this done before
and it's a true honor to
their brothers.
This is the living statue
honoring the women who
served in Vietnam.
They're our Veterans too!
My little sister was asked to lay a
carnation at the "base" of the living
statue.  When the soldier reached
out and touched Natalie's head,
I don't think there was a dry eye
in the entire park!
