We also visited the site of the three sailors from the USS Cole. They are buried beside each other and they all have a USS Cole hat in front of their marker. Their story is very sad and their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Before we left for home, we went back to see if Mr. Stout was still at his booth. He had already went home, but I got my picture taken in his booth with Josh!!!! We then went to meet Mr. Devlin and Ross to say our goodbyes. I saluted the statue like I always do when we leave and we went past The Wall one last time. This Veterans Day was very special to me and I am so happy that I was in our Nation's Capital!!! To every Veteran who ever served our country and protected my freedom, Happy Veterans Day!!!!!

On November 10, 2000 while I was in Media, PA, my whole school went to South Western Veterans Center, with the help of Mr. Ron Stout!!! This is the first tree and plaque that was dedicated to the Veterans of WWII by the students of Transfiguration School!!! Even though I couldn't be there that day, I was so happy that my school got to meet all of my friends at the Veterans Center. Thank you so much Mr. Stout and also to everyone who bought T-shirts from the school!!!!
All of the residents at the Veterans Center were so happy to see the kids in my school that they invited them back the following week for Brig. Gen Patten's birthday. Sr. Lynn decided that this time the little kids would go so they could sing Happy Birthday!!!
