POW/MIA Day 1999
On September 17, 1999 I went with the Tarentum VFW Post 5758 to the Pittsburgh Pirates game to honor the WWII POW's who returned home and also to honor all of the POW/MIA's. These are my pictures from the field of Three Rivers Stadium.

This is me and the members of the Tarentum VFW Post 5758. The only ones to notice my mom taking this picture was me and Vice Commander Dan Wolfe.

This is the whole group as we took the field. All of the members of Post 5758 are on the right side of the picture. I was standing with the Post's WWII returned POW, Ray (he has on the blue jacket).

This is a good shot of Ray, Commander Stephen Willison (in the camo), Vice Commander Dan Wolfe and Ladies Auxiliary Sectetary Brenda Wolfe (all looking at the camera). I missed the camera on this one though.

This was the color guard that presented the colors while we proudly sang The Star Spangled Banner.

Below: Vice Commander Dan Wolfe (center), Commander Stephen Willison (right) and me. We were on the jumbo-tron at the stadium!
Then, to make the weekend complete, I was a part of the opening ceremony, the candlelight vigil, the closing ceremony and I even had the chance to take a turn at holding the American Flag during the vigil on September 18 & 19, 1999. Here are the pictures.
